Gender Equality ensures Social Security

The World would be better if gender equality was ensured everywhere as much in the Western society as in the developing and poor countries. Despite many international agreements and efforts of UN, Human Rights Watch and different social organizations, too many women around the world have still no access to education and security. They also have less access than men to health care, work, politics, etc. However they are on the first line of domestic violence and discrimination.

In September 2000, 8 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were agreed on by world leaders at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC to be achieved by 2015 for a better world :

On March 31st, 2014, Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of UN Women Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka visited Vietnam to follow up gender equality work done by the Vietnamese government. Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam Pham Thi Hai Chuyen’s talked about the importance of « the Inclusion of Women and Girls in the Social Protection System as a Development Priority » and Phumwile Mlambo-Ngucka mentioned that « social security is the foundation of gender equality that ensures the granting of sufficient rights for women and girls. »

Vietnam fosters gender equality to ensure social security

Vietnamese government has been making great progress about women’s rights to ensure a better place and better conditions carrying out important projects on gender equality, especially for boys and girls but a lot of work need to be done to respond to the 8 Millennium Development goals .
